Delphi O.E.M. Co. can assist with many of the steps involved in turning an idea into a physical product. Depending on the project, this may begin with an early concept and continue through prototyping, testing, refinement, and small-run production.
Product Development & Prototyping
We can help develop a concept into something that can actually be built, tested, and reproduced. This may include making prototype parts, modifying an existing design, building fixtures or tooling, testing different approaches, and refining a part before production.
Injection Molded Parts & Mold Making
Injection molded parts often need to be shaped differently from parts that would be machined or fabricated by other methods. We can help adapt an early concept so that it is practical to mold, then machine the mold and produce prototype or production parts in-house.
Our experience includes simple hand-loaded molds as well as molds using inserts, captive components, and automatic part ejection.
Electronic Circuit Development
We can develop electronic circuits from an idea, a functional description, or an existing product that needs to be changed or improved. Work may include breadboard prototypes, component selection, circuit testing, troubleshooting, refinement, and preparation for a printed circuit board.
Music & Audio Projects
A small area of our facility is devoted to music and recording. This gives us a practical environment for developing and evaluating products intended for musical instruments and audio use, rather than relying only on bench measurements.
Small Parts & Short-Run Production
Our combination of machining, plastics, woodworking, fabrication, and electronic test equipment makes Delphi well suited to prototypes, specialized parts, modifications, and relatively small production runs where flexibility is more important than high-volume automation.
